Forest spa
An isolated, tranquil adults-only section on 10 acres of oceanfront lawn contains a spa offering hydrotherapy in the forest.
What to Expect: Begun in 1953 as a collection of villas on a 110-acre pineapple/allspice/coconut plantation, the resort has long served socialites and celebrities. Villa owners have included writer/producer Noel Coward, Viscount and Viscountess Rothermere, and, currently, designer Ralph Lauren. Accustomed to opulence, owners come here for the restful rusticity, which also attracts celebrity and non-celebrity couples and families.

Guests may book either an All-Inclusive plan or a Room-Only (No Meals) plan. All-Inclusive plans include meals, drinks, gratuities, and the majority of resort-offered amenities and activities. Accessible by a path from the resort's beach, an adults-only retreat features a health and beauty spa in a restored 18th-century plantation house and an 8-meter-diameter (26-ft) seaside pool. The spa offers treatments in air-conditioned rooms, on a veranda, at the sea edge, and in a hillside hydrotherapy area enveloped by trees. A children's club with clubhouse provides complimentary activities for children ages 3-11, with special programs during family-holiday seasons. A business center offers high-speed Internet access (surcharge). A library includes game tables. A television room has a 155-cm (61-in) screen.
