Beaches Sandy Bay offers a wide array of family activities. Beach sandy Bay sits along a magnificent sugar-white sand beach.  Most of the 128 guestrooms and suites have balconies or patios with garden, pool, or beach and ocean views.   Families, couples, and singles can enjoy food and beverages in three restaurants and bars.

What to Expect: Born in Jamaica, the Beaches chain of resorts caters to families and kids with myriad activities available day and night and facilities designed for all ages, from toddlers to grandparents. With the exception of one resort evening dress Italian restaurant, this 20-acre resort is laid-back casual and features open-air facilities cooled by ceiling fans. Tipping is not permitted.

Amenity Highlights: Graced by almond and palm trees and furnished with lounge chairs and thatch shades, a 427-meter (1,400-foot) beachfront that runs 61 meters (200 feet) deep in places provides ample sunbathing and fun-and-games space on sand fine as sugar and nearly as white next to the turquoise Caribbean Sea. Complimentary kayaks, windsurfers, Hobie Wave sailboats, Sunfish sailboats, and snorkeling gear are available. Waterskiing, banana boating, and scuba diving and snorkeling excursions are also complimentary. A huge trampoline raft lies just off shore. An expansive main pool area includes a raised deck containing a 10-person ocean-view spa. A second, good-size pool lies in a quieter area. Both offer swim-up bars.

Dinner at the resort's Italian restaurant enforces resort evening dress code: dress pants for men with collared shirts, casual-elegant dress for women. No sneakers, shorts, t-shirts, tank tops, swimwear, flip-flops permitted. Otherwise, dress is resort casual: nice shorts or jeans, covered swim wear, no bare feet.

Beachfront One Bedroom Suite - Expansive wraparound balcony or porch almost touching the white-sand beach. Large living area and bedroom. Bathroom with tub/shower and a second 1/2 bath with shower only.

Oceanview One Bedroom Suite - In the Cherry Blossom, the 1 bedroom is on ground level. Living area features kitchenette with counter. Bedroom has bath with shower only. The Begonia 1 bedroom suites have living area open to bedroom and one bath with shower only.

Beachfront Two Bedroom Suite - The first level of this suite has a kitchenette, living area and a bedroom. The second level is in a loft configuration. The Begonia Villas room block 2 bedroom suites are a more traditional L shape set up, with a large living area, small kitchenette and 2 bedrooms. There are 2 baths in each with tub and shower.

Honeymoon Beachfront One Bedroom Suite - These suites offer vast wraparound balconies or porches within feet of the beach. Large living area and separate bedroom. Bathroom features separate shower, Roman tub and large vanity.

Deluxe Oceanside - Located at the inland ends of the Frangipani, Gardenia, Ixora and Hibiscus buildings, on the first through third floors. Max occupancy: 3 persons with a king bed & 4 persons with 2 double beds.

Honeymoon Luxury Oceanview Room - Opens January 1st, 2008. Large room with Mahogany furniture featuring one king or two double beds.
